I love this time of year. . .and if you had told me ten years ago that at age 22 I'd be sitting in Roanoke, VA, drinking a beer, and getting ready to watch a Nascar race I'd tell you to get the heck out of my face.

I lived in Cortland, NY and I hated Nascar. It was the dumbest thing in the world to me and if you'd asked me about it, I'm sure you'd hear me say "who would want to watch cars go around in a circle for four hours?" Now I realise exactly who would want to do that...ME!

As I type this I'm watching Raceline of Fox. It's the worst Nascar show that exists TV, but I can't get enough. One of the reporters is talking about Daytona and I've got chills. There are only two things I get that ecstatic about...Nascar, and hunting.

A friend of mine asked me this question yesterday. "Good God, Does nascar last all year long?" The answer...No, but I sure wish it did.
