How did this Terri Schiavo thing become so disgusting?

We've got people standing out in front of the hospice with signs...Fine. We've got people on TV and Radio talking about it...Fine. But when I see this picture I get sick.


It's not the cross in the man's hand. It's not the "pro life" shirt. It's not even the call for Jeb Bush to save Terri, which he's tried to do. It's what you see at the very bottom of the picture. An arrow pointing at DAHL.com.

DAHL.com is the website of the Steve Dahl radio show out of Chicago. This sign calling for the feeding tube to be put back into Terri Schiavo is an advertisement for that show. If you go to the site, you see this...

So are we sending Brendan or Frijole Joe to Florida? It's really hard to get a hold of Frijole Joe, which is probably why he's not totally successful. Buzz envisions Big Steve charging the door of the hospice with a pizza in one hand and a blender in the other. Joe's callin in now. He has a pizza with vegetables all ready to go. Does Joe know he'll probably go to jail for this?"

"A pizza...and a blender..." Is that supposed to be funny? People like this are making fun of the death of a woman who cannot speak for herself, and who's husband is trying to kill her for his own motives. I don't know how Steve Dahl can sleep at night.
