Why Do You Want Her Dead?
It's all over the news and I'm sick of hearing about it. It's not that I wish the coverage would stop. It's not that I wish the whole world wasn't focused on Terri Schiavo. I wish her dirtbag husband would stop fighting to kill his wife. If he did that, this would all be over.
It's been four days that Terri's been without food. FOUR DAYS!!! Can you imagine? My blood is boiling as I write this.
Every argument has been made for and against Terri so I will just put it this way...
Q. What is gained if Terri dies?
A. Nothing
Q. What is lost if Terri lives?
A. Nothing
Her Parents want to have custody. They want to pay for Terri's care. Michael Schiavo has been offered OVER 3 MILLION DOLLARS to hand her over to her parents...He won't do it. I can only pray that none of us have to go through what she's going through now. If I'm brain dead and all I need is food...FEED ME!

Maybe he needs her to expire so he can get life insurance money? Would that Justify it in your eyes? As far as insurance companies are concerned, death is defined as heart not beating.
I'm not so sure I would want to hang around in that state, But I do know I would prefer a lethal injection over starving to death, but then again if I was brain dead I wouldn't care. People need to talk to their potential survivors about this.
Yeah, I don't know what to think about Terry Schiavo. This is why people need to have "the talk" with their families about their wishes if (God forbid) anything like this happens to them. As for me, I just don't think Congress should be getting involved in this kind of thing - it's not up to the legislature to mandate. The courts are there for a reason, and so is the appeals process.
I think if I were that brain-damaged with no chance of recovery, I wouldn't necessarily want to be kept alive with a feeding tube. I don't know - I don't see why her husband doesn't just grant "custody" or whatever to her parents. Maybe he's just being stubborn and/or really believes that Terry wouldn't want to be kept alive like this.
I keep forgetting that you're more "conservative" - I remember I was definitely surprised to see the W sticker on your car back in October when we went to Martinsville. So you think Bush and Congress are right to get involved in this?
Yes...I think Congress should get involved because congressmen are elected representatives...why should it be left up to one person with no accountability?
First of all, I'd just like to say that I'm an avid listener of the show, and I've been visiting your 'blog daily for a couple of weeks now. Secondly, re: Terri Schiavo - I think it's completely inhumane to have her starve to death. That's just wrong. However, all I hear is "She wants to live!"/"She doesn't want to die!" My question is how do these people know that? I know that if I were in that situation, I wouldn't want to live. Hm. That said, I also think her husband should just relinquish his rights and make peace with the situation. I don't think he's an evil man; he doesn't stand to gain any money when she dies, despite what many have said. It's just a very sad situation. I also don't think that Congress should have a say in this whatsoever. What if the situation were your family (God forbid) and you knew that [family member] would want to die instead of being that way, but you couldn't do anything about it because of some law that people that don't even know your situation passed. I know I wouldn't like that at all. Anyway, I haven't talked about this on my site at all, so I just thought I'd add my two cents here. Have a great day!
All her husband cares about is money! But it confuses me that he won't take the offer for 3 million dollars. What is this world comming too? Killing people just because someone says that 'oh she wouldn't want to live this way'. Well first off he doesn't know what the hell she wants. Also I guarantee you that if she knew what was going on she wouldn't say I want to die! No one deserves to die just because they are brain dead. I hate even saying brain dead because family members say that she can still kind of communicate and that she is a sweet heart. What did she do wrong to deserve to die!!!??? I honestly think that whoever thinks Terry should die has a cold heart. No one deserves to die and plus she is too young! Once again I say what is this world comming too? AH I'm so mad! Keep hope up for Terry!
