The Egg Mcmuffin Diet

So I'm trying to lose weight, but I don't want to do any work...or have to eat like a bunny to do it. So Danny, Zack and I were talking about all the crazy diets we've got floating around in the world like Atkins, and the South Beach Diet. Danny figured out that the Egg McMuffin only has 300 Calories.

THE EGG MCMUFFIN DIET IS BORN.


The plan is to eat only 4 Egg McMuffins per day, and nothing else and I will lose weight. One for Breakfast, one for lunch, and two for dinner. That's only 1,200 calories and the human body burns more than that per day...I think.

Anyone want to join the Egg McMuffin diet with me?

Smelly, I think it would work. The problem is if you stock up on Egg McMuffins at 10:30am, do you think they are going to be good by dinner? You don't think you are going to get sick of Egg McMuffins. Borrow the movie "super size me" from me!

What I would suggest is an Egg Mc for breakfast, 6 inch sub for Lunch, 12 Inch sub for dinner (from subway) Choice cheese OR Mayo (or other fatty sauce)....not both.

...and get you behind to the gym and take some classes with the Captain!

Hey smelly,
Save a few more carbs and make those delightful "McMuffins, or subs" yourself. They have some great new low carb Sub buns you could use...every little bit you cut off your diet helps. And using low carb choices does the trick without you noticing!
And maybe from time to time you can substitute a chicken caesar salad...with low cal dressing of course. I also take out the croutons...who ever thought of putting bread in a salad anyway? You do need your veggies!

Thanks for the suggestions. I have to stay with only Egg Mcmuffins through Thursday, but after that I'll take your advice.

Egg McMuffins actually have 287 calories and are a good source of protein, actually. (I'm on a low-cal diet but am a sucker for McDonald's breakfasty-goodness in any shape or form.) And they're cheap to boot! Good luck, dude.

I know this was an old post, but I found you thanks to a google search about the death of the egg mcmuffin creator, and I wanted to chime in.

I met with a dietician before I started my diet. She wanted to help me figure out ways to reduce my calories and eat more healthily, even if in the manner I eat (much fast food). She told me the egg mcmuffin was the only breakfast sandwich I should be eating, for the reasons you describe (she also told me to order without cheese to lower the fat, but ugh, that ended up being dry and gross).

Four a day though -- that's crazy, man! :-)
