Gossip...Oh How I Love It
...And I'm not the only one. As people, we are prone to talk about other people. What would we have to talk about if we weren't talking about a runaway bride, or and American Idol contestant being convicted of a crime, or the President doing something stupid?
I got this comment on a post about Bo Bice getting drug charges...
"don't you people have anything better to do than judge someone else. We have ALL made mistakes in life. I know I have, and the last thing I want is someone to judge me on them. How bout you? Making mistakes is how a person learns. So take a good look in the mirror, and ask yourself if you are in any position to judge someone else. I mean really. Give me a break!!!!"No. We don't have anything better to do with our time because that's what people do. Do you think every waking hour of your day is spent doing something better than talking about other people? And while we're at it...I'm sure you make comments every day about someone you work with or go to school with that are in the same realm.
"While we are at it, why don't we all take the time to defecate on Paula Abdul's hit and run charge, because it is obvious to me that none of us have better things to do with our time, but to sit around and judge like we are God's. Or maybe the rest of you people are just "perfect." Damn, what I wouldn't give to be you"
This is the pot calling the kettle black...Who then calls the pot black again.

I think basically people need entertainment and grasp onto the first thing that catches their eye. Add to that a society that wrapped up in instant gratification and end up w/ verbal lacerations. I wont be hypocrytical because I'll be the first to laugh @ the chick @ the pool hall that took her happy ass out to buy those -lovely- sandals/stilts that look like they're SCREAMING for relief about to snap @ any moment breaking free from the toe-funk-infested crust covered apendages refered to as -feet. Who let her hobble out of the house? Thats right .. her "friends" that tell her she looks ohhh so good. not to mention the kidney cutter jeans ... hope no one is in need of an organ because hers were sliced after one good bend over the pool table. Trust me .. had you witnessed what -I- did ..you would have chuckled too. But I digress ... the humor was there .. and had she been all sweet and innocent and just unfortunate in the moment .. I would have felt that HORRIBLE feeling of embarrasment (sorry had to pause and witness that damn Anthony kid make it yet ANOTHER week on AI...where was I?..oh yeah ) that HORRIBLE feeling of embarrasment on her behalf ..but noooo she had to come in alll cocky and trashy and bouncing other chicks on her lap thinking it was cute (I can appreciate the girl flirt as much as the next person but in this case .. trust me .. it was not cute)...which works out fine for me because I hate that nasty feeling in the pit of your stomach you get when someone comes in and think "oh damn .. they did that on purpose didnt they"
Is this considered gossip? probably not .. i saw it .. w/ my 2 very sore eyes. but .. um .. close enough considering now its been conversed about :)
