What Did I Tell You?

I said yesterday that even if Newsweek retracts it's story about the Koran being flushed down the toilet, the Muslims would not believe it. Today the magazine did just that...And the Pakistanis did just what I thought they would...

This is a quote from Qazi Hussain Ahmed, the head of a six-party Islamic alliance in Pakistan

"Whatever the magazine has done now is under pressure (from the U.S. government),"

Good job Newsweek.

By the way...The writer of the story tried to resign, but Newsweek wouldn't let him. The magazine says it stands behind Michael Isikoff 100%.

I don't think standing behind a writer...100% is a great move when the story he wrote was 100% wrong.
