Assholes
We all thought it was over...Until this morning.
When something happens overseas it's very easy to put it to the side, Not think about it, Continue watching American Idol or Dancing with the Stars and forget about the whole thing. It's not that easy when it happens in London.
Britain may as well be the US. As a friend said today "they are our best friend." She was right. Who else do we have in this world that will give us that kind of support?
A terrorist attack on them is an attack on us. This is the second time WE have been attacked like this. It took 4 years but, as promised, it happened again.
Once again we are afraid to do things. The fear will not last as long this time. The period of mourning will not hold and the economic downturn will recover quickly. But it will happen for the third time and it will be just as shocking.
Today I found myself sitting at a stoplight staring at a blue and white Roanoke City bus. I sat there and thought about the people on it. I have never been on a Roanoke bus and it still scared the hell out of me to think that it could just explode. The guy behind me had to honk to get me moving. It took a little bit and I got back to thinking about my day and what work I had yet to do. The UK and the US will get back to normal after this. But as much as Tony Blair says we will prevail...The terrorist attacks will never stop.
Who needs the middle east. I call for another Shock and Awe.

That's the same position as BargeInn.net. Turn the middle eastern deserts into one piece of glass.
