Idiot

The comment that I got on the last post I made said it all. "Anonymous said: Idiot!"

After a couple of conversations with the editors of Roanoke.com, the link to KisforKat.com will stay on their blog listing. Looking back, it probably wasn't a good idea to hijack the controls for their Victory Stadium camera for my own enjoyment. I should have called The Times and told them that their controls were right out in the open available for any crack-pot (like me) to use.

The Online Production Editor for the website was the first to react with a post on the blog...

Anonymous said...: The big deal is the Ronaoke Times was kind enough to link to your blog - and keep linking to your blog even though you're no longer on the radio - and you repay them by messing with their web camera, which happens to be on the front page of their site - and then brag about it and laugh at them for their lack of security. I'm really surprised they didn't dump you.

Just because someone accidentally leaves their purse sitting on a park bench doesn't mean it's ok for you to grab their wallet and take their cash. The RIGHT thing to do is to call it to their attention and help them. You had the opportunity to be a hero behind the scenes- you chose to be a public jerk.; 9:34 AM

I hardly think that you can compare Elliot using camera controls that were supplied on the internet to stealing someone's money out of their wallet. Zack said...: Let me get this straight ... the Times left the cam wide open, Smells takes the controls for a couple minutes to zoom in and out on Victory Stadium and takes some screen caps, and that's supposed to be high treason? Sounds pretty harmless to me.

It's not like he hijacked the cam and replaced it with zoomable hardcore porn (which would've been hilarious by the way). Plenty of computer dorks would've done that (or far worse).

I'm usually the first one to jump on the Make Fun of Smelly Kat badwagon, but this time it just sounds like a handful of whiners with nothing better to do than complain about something that really seems pretty insignificant.

To the whiners: Let me guess ... you voted to Save Our Cespool and didn't want the cherished hellhole to be torn down ... so now you're just lashing out in anger because you have nowhere else to turn? Let it go. The city finally did the right thing and tore the stupid thing down.

seems like you are the ones that need to get over it. Regardless of where you stood on the Victory Stadium issue, you NEED to be respectful of the other side. For you it ment nothing, for many others it holds many fond memories.

If you NEED to lash out at anyone, you should be lashing out at your city govenment for it's complete mismanagement of the entire issue. But that of course would take gonads. It's easier to be a tough guy, or beat someone with a keyboard then actually taking a position and becoming active.

Zack has your back??? how....is he protcting you from the comfort of his screen, and pc? What back is there to have? Go get 'em tough guy.

If you didn't like Victory Stadium, think the Civic center is crappy, and you don't have the backbone to get invovled in city politics, or how this community is managed...then MOVE. There is no fence here keeping you in....after all, there must be a place for you.; 9:42 AM

Its OK to disagree with something. But as you put it "little girls" like you do it with no class or maturity. Mature, grownup people can disagree without being an ass and insulting people by calling them names or insulting the line of work they are in. If you didn't agree that situation was all that harmless, so be it. Thats all you had to say. Insulting him just made you the smaller person. Maybe when you do grow up and get some class you can understand what it means to agree to disagree.

Before I posted a thing on this blog, I read through it it, to get a sense of who this Elliot person was. Yes, I knew he was on the radio, once upon a time, but as I mentioned...I don't listen to the ramblings of local radio.(note-just my opinion about local radio) In reading his blog, i notice quite a few insulting swipes Mr. Elliott took at other people. Quite frankly I was a bit surprised to see how mean spirited this "local celebrity" was. You see Ladies(trying to be classy here-lol) you reap what you sow. I am sure Mr. Elliot was the same on the radio as he is here, which means at some point in time(as I have seen reading his blog) on both outlets he has said something that some would feel insensitive or hurtful.
