Final Thought
As I sit here tonight reading all of the comments from the last post, I am surprised at how much attention the topic of me fooling around with the Roanoke.com webcam has gotten. It's been two weeks since I took control of the camera, and still there are people posting comments daily about it. In fact, at well over 50, the last post broke the KisforKat.com record for comments. (I believe the previous record was somewhere around 12)
I've been on the radio about it and my fun, and yet stupid, stunt got me somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 to 5 thousand hits!
I expected that people would post their opinions about what I did, and I knew that some would think it was a dumb thing to do, but I have never seen such outrage about something so trivial in the grand scheme of things.
I can see how the Roanoke Times would be upset, and I've already apologized to the paper, but how in the world did I personally offend people so much to get comments like...
Just because someone accidentally leaves their purse sitting on a park bench doesn't mean it's ok for you to grab their wallet and take their cash.And...
Elliot put it out there, and now his ass is being kicked a bit. That's the way it is, now it's time for him to take it like a man....Unless the kat is a p----Why would I get my "ass kicked" by people that are in no way involved in the harm (if any) that was caused?

50 comments in 2 weeks???? I would hardly call that a lot of attention. Especially since most of them were repeat posters. If 50 comments in 2 weeks got you on the radio, that explains why XM or Sirrus rocks!
It Seems like the attention you received from all "50" posters and their friends checking this board over and over again, along with your stunt has done nothing but feed your ego.
The bottom line here is you did something you had no permission to do. You got caught. You went on the radio, you ask, on this venue as I didn't hear your radio apperance, for everyones opinion. You opened the flood gates. Why, I suspect you would think all your fans would rally around and post their support leaving you at the end of it all with a page full of "pats on the back'. Instead, you heard from people who thought you were silly, a jerk, and in some cases an ass.
I am sure now, I will get beat up for what I said. I could care less. I read this dribble because i was checking all the blogs linked to roanoke.com for entertainment. It was entertaining and a cry for "look at me".
I just have to laugh at how many people have taken the time to bash you. It's funny!! I sure do hope you are laughing about this Elliot! I think it is great that you have caused such a ruckus! 50 comments is a whole lot, considering your last record was only 12. You should be proud! :) It is amazing how something so innocent could blow up like this. I have to agree with Zack’s comment the most!! Just remember that you have just as many supporters as you do people who have given you a hard time and resorted to name calling! YOU ROCK!
HA HA HA HA!!! I can't believe all the panties you have gotten in a wad!! Sheez people, CALM DOWN!!! It's really NOT a big deal! I think the negative comments are "feeding his ego" even more than the postive ones. Negative attention is still attention!
I have to agree that he loves the NEGATIVE attention....after reading through his blog, seems he is a negative person anyway.

Unless you work for the Times, or you are an employee of the Times.
Then the rest of the people are just un-educated and have no idea what the hell they are talking about.

I find it amazing at the number of people who try to pick fights on the net. I remember the first time that I ever visited a chat room. I thought hey this will be cool. I can meet some people from other places that share common interest with me. That was the one and only time that I ever visited a chat room. It was like being in elementary school all over again. I chalked all of this immaturity up to kids being awake way passed their respective bedtimes. Funny thing is how much reading these ridiculous comments throwing stones at one and another resemble the ignorant rants mirror those childish chat rooms. I just have one question: Did you miss your nap time? By the way I am sure that I mispelled or mispoke in my above statement. Please feel free to correct me as I am adult enough to own up to my mistakes. Hopefully you can own up to your petty stupidity.
